How Does a Quick Home Energy Checkup Help You?
Maryland residential customers of Potomac Edison can start saving energy by taking advantage of the Quick Home Energy Checkup. The Quick Home Energy Checkup is provided through the EmPower Maryland Act at no additional cost to you.
During the Quick Home Energy Checkup, a technician will evaluate your home’s energy efficiency and make recommendations for improvements to help you save energy and money. These may include HVAC, Lighting, Insultation, Air and Duct Sealing, and Appliance Rebates.
The technician will also educate you on other energy-saving programs that may be available to you.
The technician may install energy-saving products valued up to $150 during the Quick Home Energy Checkup.
These products may include:
- Up to 14 LED bulbs
- Bathroom faucet aerators
- Kitchen faucet aerators
- Electric water heater pipe insulation*
- Water-saving showerheads
- Smart Energy Saving Power Strip
* Must be an electric water heater without previously installed pipe insulation to qualify for this measure
